ABOUT

This website features key works and projects from the past ten years and will continue to be a repository for current and future projects as they develop.

Visit my blog for the most up to date information and images of my work : http://voiceofanother.wordpress.com and to see work in process http://voiceofanother.tumblr.com/

My current work is focused upon issues of translation and is the subject of my PhD (see research for further details).

Much of my previous work, featured on this website, has been based on responses to sites and the shifting perceptions of a place. Most of my work is temporary, relying upon the visitors and audience to complete the work. The media used varies from physical structures to sound and writing.

Based in Nottingham, I work nationally and internationally with a range of clients as well as creating my own bodies of work. I have project managed events involving hundreds of people and many artists – whilst also creating quiet contemplative spaces where one person can experience a close interaction with their environment. My locations include housing estates, airports, libraries, galleries, medieval chapels and rivers.

I am also a university lecturer - teaching Fine Art, theory and professional practice and have been a regular mentor for various art programmes. I have held a number of professional positions including Lead Artist for Groundwork East Midlands - where I devised a Public Art strategy known as Creative Regeneration Programme. Futher details of my experience can be found on my Curriculm Vitae (download coming soon).
